Borden House
The views when arriving at our home are truly breathtaking! This home features 1,852 square feet of true Sedona living! Centrally located in West Sedona, our home offers great indoor and outdoor spaces with incredible views of Thunder Mountain's red rocks in the distance. The spacious living areas and newly remodeled kitchen offer a great layout for families to gather. The outdoor space features a huge patio with beautiful red rock views and a brand new hot tub! The large grassy backyard offers plenty of room for the kids to play and your pets to exercise, with mature trees providing ample shade. Enjoy morning coffees, evening cocktails or meals outside at our fire pit dining table with a beautiful view of Thunder Mountain, one of Sedona's highest peaks!
This home changed ownership in May 2021 and the new owners have invested heavily in the property, with all new décor and furniture (including beds!), remodeled the kitchen in September 2021 and backyard in February 2023. Our new kids room sleeps up to 4 little ones and includes a classic arcade machine with thousands of free games!
The house has a fantastic location in West Sedona within a 5-minute drive of Safeway, Whole Foods and Natural Grocers. The Sugar Loaf trailhead is a 6-minute walk from the house. We recommend a hike to the top of Sugar Loaf Mountain. This moderate climb ascends 354 feet to reach breathtaking red rock views and can be done in a leisurely one-hour round trip from the house. It is great for kids!
Working during vacation? One of the bedrooms features a quiet workspace with ample natural light, which is somewhat removed from the rest of the house. The workspace includes a new desk, office chair and external monitor.
There is a bike trail just south of our house. Additionally, Sunset Park features playgrounds, a splash pad, tennis courts and a basketball court, and is a 5-minute drive south. Walk 15 minutes from the house to see the Amitabha Stupa and Peace Park, a must-visit outdoor park for prayer, meditation, and spiritual renewal for people of all faiths.
Our home also features a game credenza with many board and card games, poker chips, and croquet and bocce ball for the lawn. Two large televisions provide a full cable package and smart capabilities for all of your streaming needs.
The kids room includes a classic arcade machine with over 8,000 pre-loaded games, including classics like Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, Space Invaders and Asteroids, as well as the best games of the 90's like Mario Kart, NBA Jam, NFL Blitz, Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat. Search for your favorite game!
Bedroom Layout:
1st Bedroom: King Bed with En-Suite Bathroom
2nd Bedroom: King Bed
3rd Bedroom: One Twin over Full Bunk Bed plus Twin Trundle Bed
4th Bedroom: Queen Bed and Workspace, with En-Suite Bathroom
Extra Sleeping: Twin Pull-Out in the Living Room
We are completely set up for families as we provide plastic dinnerware for kids, a baby bath, a bathtub and more!
Guest Access:
Our guests have full access to this home during their stay. The home is keyless entry for a smooth check in both afternoon and night!
Quiet Hours:
Our neighbors are our friends! We love that we can share our home with our guests and ask that everyone abide by the quiet hours from 10pm-7am so that we can continue to serve our guests without disrupting our great neighborhood.
Getting Around:
Sedona is known for its views, hiking and vortexes! Even with our home being more centrally located in the West Sedona area, we suggest renting a car for your trip.
Other Things to Note:
This home is fully furnished and stocked with a starter amount of essentials to get you going on your trip. Please plan accordingly to purchase enough additional consumables to last for the remainder of your stay.
House Rules and Notes:
• No parties or events of any kind allowed on property
• Must be 25 years of age or older to rent. Renting person must stay in the home throughout the reservation.
• No smoking
• Check-in time is 4 PM (this time is strict)
• Check-out time is 10 AM (this time is strict)
• Early check-in and late check-out (if available fees apply)
• Pets are allowed with exceptions (pet fees apply)
