When you’re traveling to Scottsdale or Phoenix, Arizona, finding things to do can sometimes be a challenge. We may not have a beach, a huge city, or multiple monuments that you can visit all in a day’s play, but we do have plenty of activities and sites that you can enjoy right in the backyard of the vacation home you’re staying in. The real question is, how do you plan the most perfect day in Arizona? Well, we have it all planned out for you!
During Arizona’s fall and winter months, the weather tends to always cool down in the mornings to fifty degrees or lower, which is ideal weather for hitting the trials! While every trail is great, Tom’s Thumb is one that sticks out the most in Scottsdale. The trail is four miles long and surrounded by natural beauty at every turn. The trail does allow dogs if you bring your furry friend along, but just make sure he or she is on a leash. Long hikes always stir up big appetites, and Snooze in The Kierland Commons is ready for it! Open from 6:30 to 2:30, the place always seems extra packed so make sure to prepare for a wait due to a no-reservations rule. Snooze takes breakfast to a whole new level with a huge array of pancakes and delicious benedicts. It’s an experience you won’t want to miss!
Once you’ve enjoyed a nice breakfast, take some time and travel down into the heart of Scottsdale and indulge in the shopping experience that Scottsdale Fashion Square has to offer. The mall is three levels tall and has plenty of stores from Nordstroms to Free People. They also have a great food court that fits the needs of every person’s diet. Not only is Scottsdale Fashion Square a gem within itself, but the mall is also close to a popular site, Old Town Scottsdale. Old Town Scottsdale is the home to plenty of museums and art galleries. With a western feel, you can always find plenty of fun souvenirs and goodies to buy for family and friends! After a long morning, make sure to take some time to go home to your vacation home, rest and refuel for an exciting afternoon!
